The dataset includes a point and associated information derived from the State Register pdf documents for 2,490 structures. I obtained all pdfs from the following url (https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/PZ/State-Register-of-Historic-Places) and extracted information related to each structure’s location and populating the required fields. Other datasets that I used to complete this work include E911_SiteLocations (obtained from http://geodata.vermont.gov/datasets/vt-data-e911-site-locations-address-points on December 14, 2018), google maps and street view, NAIP 2016 imagery, and the City of Burlington dataset supplied by the Department of Planning and Zoning.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>I obtained a location for 2490 of 2490 (100%) of the structures in the dataset. The locations primarily were derived from the E911_SiteLocation dataset. If the the structure was not in this dataset, I used other sources such as the City of Burlington dataset, NAIP imagery, and google maps and street view to obtain a location. I appreciate the help from Mary O’Neil helping me to track down hard to find or previously destroyed properties. I was able to connect all but 152 structures (6%) with a PropertyRSN number. Those that I could not connect were typically small out-buildings or non-home structures. For properties that were repeated in the pdfs I only retained one point for each structure to ensure a clean spatial dataset. Where possible I compiled information from the multiple entries into the attributes for the single point feature. This dataset does not include a point or any information about structures that were razed, burned, or no longer standing.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
